I guess we'll find out if brevity really is the soul of wit...
1) Give me a fandom (Sanctuary is probably your best bet, but I'm willing to throw it completely open) plus character/pairing, and FIVE one-word prompts
2) I'll see if I can write you five one-sentence ficlets based on them
At least I managed to hold off almost fifteen minutes.

2. Her voice, her hands, her concern...if not for her determination, he might have found some peace.
3. He lays the corkscrew on the tray next to the bottle, and sets two glasses on either side. It's not so pretentious as decanting port, but there's no reason to do it lightly either.
4. Any sensible woman would have worn black. This woman, this woman he needs to know.
5. Nikola throws the switch and James's chest heaves. He breathes a sigh of relief, but his smile dies when he sees the expression on Nigel's face. "Not even for you," it says, and Nikola knows better than to count it as a loss.

2. You are almost making me wish that Nikola had died. How do you do this?!?
3. HEE!
4. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! (I still haven't understood which colour she was wearing.) I love that he wants to know her because she is

3. "You know," Declan says, very well aware that she might push him down the ravine but unable to resist the temptation to actually say the words out loud, "I did suggest we find a helicopter."
4. "I suggest we fly," Kate said. "On the basis that the sooner we get there, the sooner I'll get that stupid song out of my head."
5. He hesitates for just a fraction of a second too long before passing over the brandy, but she lets it slide.

3. Esposito's fingers curl around the shoulder of his tac vest, solid and present, and ready for anything, so Ryan takes a breath and waits for the signal to move.
4. There's something about a tie, or possibly a tie-clip, and then a poker game and quite a bit of very good scotch and, honestly, it's probably for the best if they just never mention it again.
5. Next April Fool's Day, Javier very, very carefully takes out nearly all the screws.

3. She's not sure which planet, exactly, she should count as her first and which was, therefore, her first alien world, but she knows with certainty that he never had to push her out the door.
4. First kiss, he'd said, and hadn't thought what that meant to her, hadn't thought how, for her, everything had just changed.
5. She was born for it, for this, and his smile is so wide it lights up the console between them.

3. The queen stops outside the door, head tilted and smiling, and listens to her daughter's laugh from within.
4. He's spent so long being the man he thought he wanted to be that he was surprised to discover how much he liked being himself.
5. They never lose that brownish smell, not entirely anyway, but they never lose their charm either, so she considers it a win.

3. Helen holds the vial of blood in her hands, dark red clashing horribly with her pale blue gown, and she feels the siren call of science pulling her towards it.
4. From the parapet, she can see the whole house at the same time, and even when it's cold, she always feels at home.
5. For decades now, Helen hasn't really marked the years, but when she looks up at the baby James is holding out to her, she decides it's probably time to start keeping track again.

3. "I swear," he says to the baby in his arms, "You are worse than both your parents combined."
4. It comes to this, of course, this black moment of discovery and realization forever crystallized in his damnably near perfect mind.
5. It's his hair, James admits in quiet moments of personal reflection, his hair and his eyes and his willingness to not say anything and his calm; all these things, and especially the part where he's taken James as is and never once complained.

3. At the end of the job interview, when Declan hadn't reacted at all to the various outbursts of abnormal activities that were interspersed amongst questions like "How do you deal with a crisis?" and "Describe a time when you worked with a team to solve a problem?", James allows himself some small amount of hope.
4. "You're far too young for insomnia," James says, breath warm across his ear as the clock down the hall chimes midnight and Declan tells himself, once again, that this is not a dream.
5. Declan hates grapefruit, but when he sees the breakfast tray is made up for two, he eats his half with as much sugar as he can get away with and never says a word.

2. There was someone here, it can feel it, someone who was here before James, someone who kept this house and all the creatures in it, and the first time it sees her, it knows her on sight.
3. In space, no one can hear you eating their shoes.
4. "Do you think it mates?" Ashley said, one finger absently tapping on the glass as the creature undulated in time with the rhythm and Declan suppressed a shudder.
5. James sits in the arm chair with a tub of shoe polish in one hand and his newly scuffed shoe in the other, and tries to think on the bright side: if he had a kitten, it would have claws.
