It's bsg_remix time, and in trying to decide if I want to sign up this year, I decided to compile a list of my ten favourite moments in BSG canon. Because all Sanctuary and no play makes grav_ity go slightly (more) insane.

Here we are again with another vid I didn't plan to make. I seem to be starting a trend. Or I can't get the Atlantis clips to work, you pick.

ANYWAY, I heard this cover of Poker Face on Wednesday, and by Thursday night, the vid was already starting to take shape in my mind. In the beginning, it was more about the relationships of the women with one another, but it ended up being about their relationships with me. And how they all became the ship.

(Seriously, if you'd told me that you could turn "Poker Face" into a touching duet about a girl and her mother using only a piano and the power of Broadway, I wouldn't have believed you. But here we are!)

So this vid is about people who didn't have to love, who probably shouldn't have loved, who loved.

Once again, critical reviews are welcomed. I think I did quite a bit better this time (if only because I fixed the music), but I appreciated any advice and recommendations. If nothing else, I got better at cheating with this vid, which helps cover up my mistakes. ;)

Last month I participated in the bsg_remix. I got lyssie, and once the feelings of "OMG, you're AWESOME and you KNOW WHERE I LIVE*!" wore off, it was a lot of fun. ;)

The remix has been revealed and my only suspicion about the entire thing proved to be correct, and now I am reccing the fic, because it was AMAZING.

Infinite Regress, by pellucid is about Pythia and Athena, and how prophets become non-linear, and how relationships change, how even the gods cannot escape their destinies, and...it's amazing, so y'all should go and read it.

I was going to wait until I'd regained some measure of coherency, but I've decided I can't. You all need to go watch sache8's "Holiday" vid right now.

One of my problems with reviewing a video is that when great things happen at the beginning, I totally forget them because great things also happen at the END, and my brain is usually "ZOMG"ed out. This is totally one of those vids.

So you're going to have to watch it more than once. Watch it for the editing on the beat of the song, watch it for the editing on the lyrics of the song, watch it for the editing on the beat of the lyrics of the song, and then watch it again, because it's THAT GREAT.

There is almost no wasted movement in this vid. Every clip has a beat. There's a bit where we see the segment where Kara and Lee trade punches, and there's a beat on her hit, his hit, and her FRAKKING RECOIL. It's INCREDIBLE. And it's not even the most amazing part of the whole thing!
