I don't know who decided that Tuesday would be The Day Stuff Comes Out, but I LOVE TUESDAYS.
Today, for example, I get NOCTURNE, by Christine Johnson (which is the sequel to a book I haven't read yet called "Claire de Lune", but I can't wait to get my hands on them!), and also SWEETLY, by Jackson Pearce, whose "Sisters Red" might be the best book I've read this year.
I can't buy either of them, of course, not yet, but just KNOWING THAT I CAN SOMEDAY makes me happy. I may go to Chapters later just to stare at the displays. ;)
I also woke up to a sunflower in my v-gifts this morning, and I LOVE sunflowers. And we went to Herle's last night (all farmer's market, all the time, pretty much), and so for breakfast I get to have at least four different kinds of fruit, and then awesome bread and veggies for lunch. And it's sunny. There's a lot of work to do, but I feel better about it today!

Date: 2011-08-23 06:25 pm (UTC)And I ordered it, even though I was quitting my job, and then the Canada Post went on STRIKE (which I totally supported), and Chapters refunded the book rather than send it to me, and now I have promised myself I will not buy books, and it is KILLING ME, because Sonia is my last "real person" author (in terms of people I met before Twitter, anyway), and I am REALLY SORRY that I haven't been able to read it yet.
Book anxiety, I have it.

Date: 2011-08-23 06:43 pm (UTC)Actually, I happen to have a spare copy. ("Pathetic" story of a different nature - I per-ordered it on Amazon.com but then got so excited when I saw it real and live in a bookstore I went ahead and purchased it.) I'll be happy to pass it on to you. Can you email me a shipping address? Or is Canada Post still on strike?
