I Suddenly Remembered My Charlemagne

I don't read fic for this fandom.

But there are authors in this fandom whom I adore, and so when they write stuff, I at least give it a try. This one, I actually betaed. And it more than blew my mind.

Here is a Supernatural I would move back in with my parents for. Here is a Supernatural I would claim as a time I was "unavailable" for work for. Here is a Supernatural that I would give up chocolate for. Here is a Supernatural that would make me take back every negative thing I have ever said about the show.

Here is a Supernatural that will blow your mind. If it gets Kripked, I will...well I don't know what I'll do, but I'll have to do it somewhere other than this Starbucks, because the reaction I had to this fic will probably make it too awkward for me to ever come back here again.

Supernatural fic sort of terrifies me. I mean, it's no Harry Potter...but it's close! :) So I've read almost no Supernatual fic at all.

I have, however, read a lot of Meg!fic. Meg always nails family dynamics, angst, love, canon details and fight sequences, and this fic is no exception. On the surface, it's Anna/Castiel, but really it's the story of Anna and it's the story of Mary Winchester. And it's awesome. This fic is everything that you know the Supernatural females could be, if only they had any room at all in the plot.

In unrelated news, there is probably an flist cut in my near future. I've been casually trimming it for a couple days now. It's nothing personal, of course, we've probably just drifted.

meyerlemon has written some quasi-Supernatural fic that's really more about feminism than anything else. Sam and Dean never appear (in face the only person who does is last night's new character...this is her backstory), and it is awesome.
