Apr. 18th, 2012 09:07 amIt's Wednesday! Which means it's time to talk about a book I can't have (yet). This one is about time travel, so waiting is extra cruel.
TIMEPIECE is Myra McEntire's followup to HOURGLASS, but it focuses on one of the tertiary characters. I am still super pumped.
Also, the cover is DROP. DEAD. GORGEOUS. and taken by a Canadian, who also took some really cool Harry Potter photos.

May. 2nd, 2011 05:43 pmEven though I only signed up last night, people have remixed my stories! AND I AM THRILLED TO DEATH!
One of them is a remix of my Peril, Peril On The Sea, told from John's POV (which, I should mention, IS LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE): Our Brethren Shield In Danger's Hour. There's even bonus Nigel. *twirls*
AND
Someone remixed on of my Harry Potter fics, the Neville chapter chapter of "Before and After" The Boy Who Stayed, which expands on what Neville, Ginny and Luna actually did instead of just talking about it afterwards: Light in the Darkness
AND
There are more Sanctuary fics in the Madness that I haven't read yet! BEST REMIX EVER! :)
(I have my suspicions. That's all I'm saying.)

Jan. 21st, 2010 09:04 amAN: It has been pointed out that I took some rather extensive liberties with werewolves in the last chapter, given that I am for all intents and purposes writing a canon story. I’ll admit it: I cheated. And I’ll also invoke the Albus Dumbledore “There is No Stronger Magic Than Love” clause, along with the Kingsley Shacklebolt “What Can’t A Patronus Do?” clause (which, I think, has a bit more basis in canon given that we know that the presence of James, who is technically “prey” in his Patronus form, is a calming influence on Remus. Tonks can’t turn into an animal, but her Patronus turned into a werewolf, and I think that should mean something). I am exactly that kind of shameless.

AN: I am nothing if not a patron of the pattern. Patterned titles, patterned number of chapters, patterned stories. The first two parts of this series are four chapters each, but at the end of chapter three of this fic, I just stopped. I actually stopped for NaNo, but in the process, I decided that I didn’t want to end this series the way I had originally planned to do so (that would be with the canon deaths of my two main character).
So this is a happily ever after. And an unapologetic one at that. And even though it means that I don’t get to include the scene which inspired me to write the whole thing in the first place, I am okay with it. Thank you all for following along.

Originally, I was going to publish the whole fic as one story and alternate POV chapter to chapter, but then I decided the Tonks story stood better by itself. Even though this story does stand alone, it's definitely a bridge between "Speak of the Wolf" and part three of the trilogy, so I recommend you read "Speak of the Wolf" before you go on in this, because events that are only mentioned in that story get the full treatment here, and vice versa.
