Fic Rec - Star Trek XI

grav_ityI have read about six stories based on the new Star Trek movie. This is mostly because I am too lazy to wade through the fandom in order to find the good stuff, and am therefore complete reliant on my f-list to send the good fics my way.

tafkarfanfic did just that.
The story is called "The Many (And Mostly Untrue) Tales of Young Jim Kirk", and it's basically a short view into how Kirk makes himself into a legend without really meaning to. The ending is so far beyond brilliant, it was almost too much for me to handle at 6:45 in the morning.

And then go read The Starfleet Annual Budgetary Memo: An Enterprise Tradition. But not while you're drinking coffee.

Speaking oftafkarfanfic, if you haven't read One Dimension Removed, you totally should. It's chock-a-block with Sha're goodness, and she's already working on the sequel. ;)
