Summary: He never forgets that Duncan got there first.

Justification

He never forgets that Duncan got there first.

When he kisses her, his hands in her hair and her hands pressed against his chest, he knows that Duncan kissed her first.

When he slides his hands under her shirt, and she gasps into his neck and he can feel her smile, he knows that Duncan felt her first.

When she guides his hands to the button on her jeans and he fumbles with it and she giggles softly in his ear, he knows that Duncan fumbled first.

When she moans and arches her back and pushed her hips toward his and he wants nothing but her forever, he knows that Duncan wanted her first.

When he pulls her into his arms and her breath is still rapid and both their hearts are pounding, he know that Duncan got there first.

Duncan was his friend, his brother, the only thing like family he has left in the world, and he never forgets that.

Because if he did, he'd have to remember Cassidy. And he can't face her like that.

Wow...this fic is vaguely unsettling in some way (and I mean that in a good way!) Just that Logan is so alone, so he's reduced to remembering his friend as simply an ex-boyfriend of his current girlfriend...that's just sad. :/ Like...Duncan "got there first," but...that's all of Duncan that's left for him.

Disturbing, yet intriguing!! Thank you so much for posting, and I hope you write more soon!!! :D

Ouch. Poor Logan, always remembering he was second to Duncan in her life, and even that's a defense to cope with the knowledge that Beaver was "there" before either of them in an unforgiveable way.

But even worse for the reader is poor Veronica, who never had the choice.

This is such a short piece to pack so much of a gut shot. Well done, my friend.

Uneven though it was, I did like season 2. I even liked parts of season 3.

Maybe one of these days I'll actually do something fannish and write a post about my thoughts about the show. Or at least finish the frakking fic I started for the Porn Battle... ;)
