Book #68: The Chaos, by Nalo Hopkinson
Jul. 25th, 2016 10:44 pmAn urban fantasy set in Toronto (and Toronto as it should be: warts and all), I really liked The Chaos. It's another for my list of fantasy books I'd like to smack people with when they claim that fantasy as a genre doesn't tackle issues.
Scotch was a textbook "unlikeable" protagonist. Brash, reckless, in love with herself, stubborn, and not afraid of her own body. Obviously, I adored her.
Also, there's an apocalyptic scene set at a Tim Hortons which is 100% worth the price of admission. :)
