I love these books so much. It was awesome to get caught up on them (and to read two back to back instead of waiting in between).

Wind Raker has such an amazing sense of place and time (Hawaii, 1935). The details were absolutely engaging, but never do Graham and Scott allow for fake-nostalgia to make you think the past was particularly idyllic. It's masterfully done.

And Oath Bound is mine. Wonderfully drawn, probably the most anxiously plotted of the series, and with this inevitability pushing in from all sides (archaeologically, aeronautically, politically). And yet. Always hope.

I love the Order of the Air so much, you guys. So very much.

Here is the trailer for the first book, LOST THINGS, if, you know, you would like to get a start:

There's just two books published in the Elza series. Would hardly take any time at all to read them... ;-) #nothelping

I am so glad you enjoyed them! I definitely thought of you while I was working on Oath Bound. Jerry has hoped and wanted this all his life, and now there is no time. There is no time left. "In twenty years," Hussein says optimistically. "In a century," Jerry says, and I hope that he is right. My head canon is that there is right this moment someone with the Polish expedition who studied with an old professor who told him a marvelous secret....
