He is the author of “Facing Future,” about the Hawaiian musician Israel Kamakawiwo’ole. Sounds like Dan did a little straining of his own. And what mother thought it would be cute to put the first name Israel with that Hawaiian last name? So much to love in just one little sentence. :)
