I...what...I...

MEANEST. CLIFFHANGER. OF. ALL. TIME.

*finds paper bag*

*breathes into it*

WHAT. THE. FRAK!

ETA: I've now recovered enough to be annoyed by the shoddy craftsmanship of the rules to this whole alternate/parallel thing. But I said all that last week (um, and the weeks before that), so let's just ALL DIE ABOUT THAT ENDING.

(And also that beginning. BECAUSE, DAMN.)

See, I'm not sure that they've ever definitively established that this is a separate timeline altogether. So what if it's, instead, a re-write of green!verse with Peter gone, but now that he's returned the original memories are starting to bleed through? And maybe Olivia's are just the first and it will start happening with the others??

Except the mere absence of Peter doesn't explain all the other changes. I mean, I get the butterfly effect to some extent, but how does a lack of Peter translate into Olivia being raised by Nina? (Random: has Rachel been mentioned at all this season?)

Just. They'd better resolve this storyline before the finale, because if they don't fix it and there's another cliffhanger and the show doesn't get renewed, my brain may just explode.

Well, Peter keeps talking about going "home" and the Observers seem to think the timeline is different so...I have no idea. IT BOTHERS ME.

WHY CAN'T THEY JUST KISS AND LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER?

Peter assumed he wasn't home because no one recognized him. But if the timeline were re-written when the Observers disappeared him, then he wouldn't have been there for them to remember. (I HATE TIME TRAVEL PARADOXES OMG.)

And there's still the little matter of OLIVIA HAS TO DIE.

Apparently, with JJ Abrams, the happily ever after must wait until after ALL THE SCREWING WITH ALL THE EMOTIONS.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND.

WHY MUST THEY ALWAYS DESTROY HAPPINESS. AND CONFUSE ME.

I so love how this show messes with our heads. Especially the beginning and endings. Also, scenic. So very scenic.

What irked me wasn't the physics for merging the worlds, but Peter being a complete amnesiac about it - he's seen worlds merge, he's seen the damage. And knowing what they (we) know, that would've been my first guess about what was going on, not schizophrenia.

Yes, this episode was pretty much a reverse of Jacksonville (including how early in the hour I started yelling solutions at the characters), but they stuck on the Johari Window references and...yeah. Sometimes this show just DOESN'T FOLLOW ITS OWN RULES.

But it is pretty!

Avoiding reading the details of this because I haven't seen it - was at the movies instead. But what little I did read (non-spoiler stuff) now has me a bit worried. *wibble*

hahahaha, the science on Fringe (even in terms of violating its own rules, to say nothing of actual physics, biology, etc.) is so mindbendingly awful that I long ago developed a sort of technobabble filter -- once they start trying to "explain" things, I just let my brain go "la la la" and tune back in when character stuff starts happening again. *g*

But there was so much interesting character stuff in this episode! Especially with Peter and Walter (sad to get only a couple minutes of Astrid, though!). I subscribe to the theory that this is the original universe, only rewritten, so I guessed pretty early that it was our Olivia's memories bleeding through, rather than what was happening to everyone else in the town (the writers loooove doing that kind of fake-out) -- I'm just curious why it hasn't happened to any except Olivia. Oh yeah, and I want the next episode like FIVE MINUTES AGO. :D

See, I don't mind bad science so long as it follows its own rules. BUT THIS DOES NOT AND THAT BOTHERS ME.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLIVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIA!!!!!!

I'm just curious why it hasn't happened to any except Olivia

Nina's injections?
