ABBY GOT A PROMOTION, BROKE UP WITH WILL BECAUSE HE WAS A DOUCHEBAG, AND TOTALLY SCHOOLED THEM ALL. I LOVE HER!

Various people being excited on the internet blew the Charlotte reveal and the Bat Plane reveal for me, but fortunately I don't really care about those things very much because HELEN MADE STUFF BLOW UP AND WAS AWESOME. And is continuing to set herself up as being completely independent. And I liked that Charlotte kissed her first. That was sort of adorable. *pets them*

Both this episode AND Untouchable referenced Kate! This also makes me happy.

I was a bit saddened by the death of the adorable Canadian Press Junket guy. But, you know, omelet, eggs, etc.

ETA: WRT the discussion Henry and Will were having at the beginning, do you think Declan will now hire out his strike team? Because he seems to be the only one who has anything like that privately, and after Will and Henry's little adventure in the sewers, it's pretty clear they need a capable hunter on retainer. I just made myself miss Kate even more. *mopes*

I can't believe Helen did that in those shoes!

I was so distracted by that thought throughout the entire first time I watched the episode that I had to watch it again to catch the story. LOL I can't walk and chew gum in Crocs much less kick butt in heels! I loved the Bond references, too.

I agree with your sentiments on Abby dumping Will. I'm sure Robin Dunne is a great guy, but I still barely tolerate Will. Henry rules and I really missed Biggy. I wonder why they're leaving out characters each week. To cut the budget? It's already a short season. It feels funny without everyone, including Kate & Declan.

He lives on in Santa Barbara on Psych! ;-D He plays Buzz McNab, supporting character and owner of one of the coolest character names ever. Not only that, his real name is Sage Brocklebank (or something awesome like that ;-D) And on Psych, despite getting blown up by his barbeque and knocked out by a serial killer, he's been around since the pilot. I loved seeing him. :D

I liked the progression of 1) annoying guy who's really CIA hits on Helen. 2) Canadian guy would hit on her, but he's adorable and working. 3) Charlotte pwns them all at the end. Win!

I miss Kate!!! They need her or someone like her because Will and Henry are not hunters. They're cute dorks with stunners.

Will was a bit of a douchebag, eh? He was all cute in the beginning, then...the anonymous tip was dodgy. Abby had a right to be pissed.

I wish there was more kiss squee. Some of the anti-kiss sentiment makes me sad, even when it's just OTPing. (this comment is not directed at you, I just needed a safe space to say it, which is not my own journal)

Having slept on it, I'm not a bit pissed that Will was written being so petty, because I don't think it's in character for him. (They are really playing up the whole "don't call me [fill in the blank]" thing, which I would find annoying except I imagine they're laying groundwork for when his dad shows up. I just find it odd and...odd.)

I AM QUITE SQUEEFUL ABOUT THE KISS. I AM JUST OVERWHELMED WITH SQUEE. I AM ALMOST NEVER ANTI-KISS! ;)

I have a question. I may have missed the reference sometime over the last seasons, but do they ever say why London has a strike team? Because it doesn't seem like a James sort of thing.

I marveled at the shoes the entire episode. They seem to be the only part that survived in tact, but God do I appreciate a woman who can kick ass in anything other than combat boots.

I was sad about Canadian Press guy too. It's always the expendable ones...

I don't think they ever did say why. Maybe it's because Declan is ex-military and he decided to have one. Not that it is ever stated on the show that Declan is ex-military, not that I remember anyway.

It's in one of Lawrenson's interviews, which normally I wouldn't take as canon, but since that's the way he plays the character, I accept it. ;)

(It's also the same interview where he says he's a Londoner, which is clear from his accent, and NOT SCOTTISH and therefore SHOULDN'T BE WRITTEN WITH A SCOTTISH ACCENT so...yes.)

I take it as canon for the same reason you do. If the actor is playing it with this in mind (and it works with what we see on the show), I'm taking it as canon.

I'm of the opinion you should never write accents anyway. Other than in sentence structures and word choices, but certainly never in spelling. Take it from the linguist, the results are usually far from good. Very far.

I was really happy that Abby got a promotion and ditched Will, but I think she went back with him too fast. She should have at least let him stew for an ep.

Oh, that Abby spoiler makes me happy. I'm afraid the spoiler that everyone has known about for months will be a letdown (not that it will be bad, just that most spoilers are a letdown for me, which is why I usually avoid them), but I'm excited about this one. I should probably think about downloading at some point ...
