It's probably too early for Ke$ha...
May. 28th, 2011 07:15 amI'm not exactly a fan of Ke$ha, but her songs are SO RIDICULOUS, that it's fun to vid them (see also Star Trek: Tik Tok). I've been looking for this vid for about a week now, and
shadadukal was kind enough to point me in the right direction.
The vid is to Ke$ha's "Take It Off", and it's based around the Revelations/End of Nights episode arc of Sanctuary. Because nothing says Serious Business like a Ke$ha song. ;)
Anyway,
kuwdora describes the vid as an episodic vid featuring season 1 finale/season 2 premiere. It's a brilliant four-episode arc that has an awesome story! Plotty twists! Action! Adventure! Intrigue! Slash, het, Victorian polyamorous science orgies (*cough*), and she's not wrong.
Mostly I love this vid because even though it's fun and the song is kind of...frippery, the music has been parlayed into something that really works for Sanctuary: vaguely dark, and with the same forward movement that the episodes have themselves. It's a neat juxtaposition, and the selection and editing of the clips to fit the music is really well done.
Take it Off.

Date: 2011-05-28 07:46 pm (UTC)Brilliant, brilliant vid. Thanks for linking/reccing! Interesting to contrast the Completely Different emotional impact of the vid I linked you yesterday with this one.
That song is one only one of hers I have actually paid money to own. It doesn't hurt that I have associations with the underlying tune that go way, way back.
I think I am going to spend this USan holiday weekend watching all of Sanctuary (I have the box-sets of S1 & 2, and dvr-disk copies of S3 so far) even though I am discovering I actively dislike Will, even in S1.

JoeGregory is worth sitting through that train wreck again).no subject

Date: 2011-05-28 07:41 pm (UTC)(warning: it takes a while for Sanctuary to get that awesome. The first season is a bit bumpy, but worthwhile.)
