In order to fill in the days between finding out who the winners of the sfa_ficawards are and making the announcement, lanna_kitty and I decided to have a round of "Mod's Choice" awards. I got to go first, and today I announced my pick for "Best Use of An Historical Event or Period".

Long story short, dbalthasar is awesome and I was not prepared for how amazing this fandom was going to be.

This is a place, and a time, that I've been poking at for several years now, and this is one of the ways that I've tried to work my way in, to see if I could grapple with the real things in some meaningful way. I really think I've learned more about the world in general since I started watching Sanctuary in January then I have since I was at school. It's been AWESOME.
