I think, having seen 21 seconds of previews, that I might know why this episode happened, and I am kind of glad that they didn't choose to do it FKAC style because a) FKAC was awesome, and b) the thing that made it awesome was that there were at least three people telling the story, and even though Helen's and Adam's versions were plainly different, I'm pretty sure that Helen's and Nikola's versions were subtly different, and I love that.

4. Nikola's hands. SERIOUSLY, YOU GUYS. Do they add his claws in post? Because if they do...

(John and James act so hugely and bowl me over, whereas Nikola typically does about 400 tiny things in quick succession and I just CAN'T DEAL WITH THAT RIGHT NOW.)

5. OH, NIKOLA! You got played SO BADLY. And the only person left to hug you is Eisenhower.

6. John had blood on his hands. See above re: details.

7. I can't make the James/Helen/John vid to "My Best Friend's Girl" any more. Even with a gender flip. I need to get over the epicness of it before I can make light of it.

8. John killed Hitler. AND NOTHING CHANGED.

1. When they are running away and Nigel's all "You need him more than you need me and you know it" (which, incidentally, happens before we find out that Helen/James is canon, which, just, GUH), and Helen's all "Nigel!" and he's all "JUST KISS ALREADY!", etc.

I do not think Eisenhower is much with the hugging. And he is not Epic. Patton is Epic, but I am not sure he would hug Nikola. He would definitely place himself entirely at Helen's disposal for hugging purposes, however!

Yes, I totally thought of that on my second viewing and thought about how impossible that would be. But I'm pretty certain that they are generally done in post. At least a commentary says "he's not wearing any makeup there for the vamp effect, it's all CG." I think it was the commentary for "The Five." (I'm rewatching all the Five episodes with commentary.)

1. I love him too! He just seems like such a swell guy. And I loved it when Grandpa Zimmerman asked him about how the weather machine worked. "I don't know how it works. I wasn't paying attention." He's clearly the most sane (and dare I say normal) member of The Five.

5. As much as he tried to downplay it, he really did. And he seemed so heartbroken, all his friends are off in France having an adventure while he's been betrayed by his new boyfriend. Poor baby.

I thought about his nails too! It was amazing and I was sitting there with my mouth open staring at my screen the entire time he was in vamp mode! But honestly, they looked TOO good. I definitely think they have added then in post before, but really now... I think they were prop makeuppy nails this time. BECAUSE HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE!
