I can do this. Once the fake accent portion of the evening is over, and we get to the shooting of things.

ETA: Well that was actually kind of neat, once I managed to stop cringing. At least there's a reason for high heels in an action sequence.
It is, however, entirely possible that I have an over-inflated opinion of this episode thanks to, uh, certain characters and, uh, certain ways they were standing wrt the elevator.
(Which, btw, I am DEFINITELY USING IN A VID. Or, you know, someone could make me a .gif)

Date: 2011-04-26 02:49 pm (UTC)This episode has a few things I don't like (Will's sex life, excessive awkwardness, terrible accents, no Henry...), but quite a few things that I did (girls with brains, Kate with a gun, DECLAN FREAKING MACRAE), so I actually kind of liked it. Better than Hangover, for sure.
It's possible I have an inflated opinion of the episode on account of the elevator lean...

What it comes down to, for me, is that ON was a less than stellar execution of a great idea, and Hangover was a less than stellar execution of a moderately okay idea. There were about a hundred little details in ON that I enjoyed (the main one, I think, being the part where Sioux kidnapped Will on purpose because he was not the man for the job), even though the actual pay off was kind of crappy (like...she got shot). It's a personal thing, but I'll almost always take set-up over knock down (if I can't have both, which I would obviously prefer).
