I read it and thought "I need this in my life. I really hope someone writes it." And then I met![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
st_aurafina, and noticed that she was looking for a beta, and so I volunteered, and IT WAS THAT FIC.
Needless to say, it was a couple readthroughs before I stopped hyperventilating and could pay attention to things like Oxford Commas.
ANYWAY! THIS FIC! This fic is really awesome. It's awesome because it captures Declan at one of the less pleasant times in his life, and doesn't pull any punches. It's awesome because Jack's voice is pitch perfect. It's awesome because there are a thousand little details about James that add so much to the atmosphere, it's like breathing it. It's awesome because they're all really pretty. And it's awesome because I can totally imagining it happening, and the writing is really good.
Also, there's a pterodactyl. :)
