dbalthasar posted a second story in her AU where Nikola turns James into a vampire! Which is exciting. And also contains one of the cruelest fade to blacks I've ever come across. ;) The first fic is called Choices, and could conceivably be thought of as a James and Nikola friendship story. Today's fic, Hail and Farewell, is James/Declan and rated R. Consider yourself warned.
Next we havepenknife, who posted Practical Arrangement, in which Helen and James are so methodical and fuzzy it kind of hurts...in the best possible way. Also rated R, but the sheer weight of the character development is what you really have to watch out for.
And last but not least,rj_anderson has entered the writing portion of this fandom with Mortal Flesh, an ABSOLUTELY AWESOME Helen/Nikola piece that takes place sometime before "For King and Country", and will completely floor you with its awesomeness (seriously. I betaed it, so I am writing up the rec before she posts it, because it's just that awesome).
