Festivids Recs
Jan. 23rd, 2011 03:33 pmI am slowly working my way through Festivids. So far, so awesome!
1) I like how fanvids expose me to music I would otherwise probably never hear. For instance, I had no idea that Elton John had written music for "Lestat: The Musical". Mostly because I didn't realize there was a "Lestat: The Musical." I don't know why I'm surprised. Pair it up with dinosaurs (from Jurassic Park), and it's pretty much perfect: They Want More. I don't know if was supposed to laugh quite that hard. ;)
2) I have actually heard of Flight of the Conchords, and even though they are not my favourite, the are uniquely suited to How I Met Your Mother: Friends.
3) Dear Marion Ravenwood,
You kept your name, right? When you got married? BECAUSE YOU ARE AWESOME.
Tramps and Thieves
4) Oh, JULIAN. You were so unprepared for 99% of what Deep Space Nine threw at you, and this vid is PERFECT: Who Needs Enemies. Perfect music, perfect clips, and just the right amount of story manipulation.
5) Hey, I recced this same song last year when it was The Sound of Music. This time around, it's Star Trek: TNG, and IT IS ADORABLE: Lullaby For A Stormy Night.
