I love Reese's Pieces, but every time I eat them, I get this nagging feeling that someone, somewhere, has forgotten something important.

Action, adventure, morality play, post-apocalyptic recovery story, stupid/blind/ absent but well-meaning grown-ups, clever children.

This book is the fourth in the the Ember series. The first book remains my favourite (heck, even the movie wasn't that bad!), but this was a solidly written novel, and I am glad that the story has ending.

See, I told you that when I like the book it doesn't take me very long! )

I give it a 7 out of 10. Because City of Ember and the Prophet of Yonwood would both get an 8, and this wasn't as good. And also: ALIENS.
