Why does everything Down Under end up in leather?
You know what's awesome about fantasy? Names. Nine times out of ten, a person's name will tell you everything you need to know about them. Which means, among other things, that a person called "Benedict" is never going to be your friend.
I thought it was interesting that they gave us two people wearing white who weren't Kahlan in this episode: the other confessor, and that woman in the background at the very end. It's something to think about anyway. I hate it when people give weight to Prophecy. Because it will always come true just...not how you might think.
I also really like that Goodkind chose the word "Confessor". It's a great word. You can say it with sarcasm, with fear, with reverence, and it still works. It's one of those words that's great to say, and therefore makes a good title for someone in a fantasy novel. I like it.
I am glad that we have finally got the whole "thing" out of the way with Kahlan and Richard. I mean, they've still got seven more episodes to cry about it, but that's totally following The Rules, and I am sure they'll work something out later. I noticed that the people in the other Confessor's village seemed to be able to function relatively normally, so there's that.
Kahlan is just SO AWESOME. Because she's clearly terrified of what she can do, and I think the idea that terrifies her the most is that some day she might have to confess Richard (like we saw here). Also, she fights with knives and I LOVE THAT.
More telepathy inspired close quarters knife fights, please.
