And All Of This Will Happen Again

grav_ityOnce upon a time, there was a little girl named Sharon who wasn't actually a little girl named Sharon, but no one knew that until she shot her commanding officer in the chest. Sharon was then replaced by another Sharon who knew exactly what she was and what she wasn't, and managed to become what she wasn't by sheer force of will, even though sometimes morons tried to rape her.
And that Sharon lived happily ever after, even though the first Sharon sort of got screwed out of everything.
But that wasn't the end, obviously, because even though she was happy, she knew too much about both sides. She knew the Cylons would take her back and love her forever in an instant, but that the price would be her husband and her daughter. She knew that there were humans who loved her, but that the price was having to pretend really hard. Somehow, she remained monotheistic, and stuck to her faith with a tenacity matched only by Caprica Six.
But Hotdog named her Athena.
And Athena threw herself from the cliffs at Kobol, when humanity left the battered world of death behind and split itself into factions, tribes, And the 13th tribe was Cylon and they went off by themselves to start again, leaving Athena with nothing but the stars and a map and a tomb to light the way.
And before she was Athena, Sharon found that tomb. And after she was Athena, they found Earth. And sometimes when Helo is already asleep and she can't stop spinning, she wonders what will happen to her when it all happens again.
MAKE IT STOP!
In other news, I have been rereading my earlier posts about the season and I wrote things like "Felix is not clapping. He is so over them." and "I feel the need to write a fic called 'How Felix Gaeta Refused to be Taken In' after that chapter in The Last Battle", so maybe all the stuff isn't really new...it's just that I've forgotten it in the year since it aired.
