Another Fic Rec (For Sherlock This Time)

This time it's a story for the BBC Sherlock called "It's Not the Violin". I actually heard the podfic first, which I also recommend, but the words by themselves are more than awesome. I love this fic because you can read it as slash, or as gen, or as Whatever Mess These Two Are In (which is kind of where I am right now). It also includes quite possibly the best explanation of why it's John Watson:
Sherlock sat back, considering it. "My brother," he said slowly, "thinks that London's a battlefield. Little skirmishes constantly going on, strategies mapped out, arms taken up. John might too, I think. I see it more as a hospital, full of disease that needs diagnosing, wounds that need lancing. John's the best doctor I know."
Just...awesome. I so cannot wait for this show to come back.
