I can't even begin to tell you how much of my life is based on this book/stage musical! :)

ETA: AND THAT SONG! I had totally forgotten how much I loved it.

The funny thing is, I was playing that song on the piano earlier (it is one of the six or so songs I know). It's such a lovely song, and I always feel like I forget that until I hear it and then I'm like 'ooh, pretty song!'

Awwww!!! I'd forgotten about this -- we watched it on PBS, back in the day (I know it was a Canadian production, right? :)

If I ever have a little girl, I'm buying this series for her. :nods: :)

You just TOTALLY made my night. I adore the song and with MY first true OTP as well...I'm going for the DVD's right now. But yes, we'll skip that horrid WWI movie.

Thank you!

Ah, my beloved OTP that never got messed up. I <3 those two to pieces. :)

Yes, that WWII flick is a failed attempt compared with the other two, but I must admit that the scene where they reunite at the end of the war gets me EVERY TIME. *sniff*
