Even though I spent FOREVER waiting for the Alice in Wonderland stills, I cannot resist the temptation to make an Amy Pond header. So I have.

[livejournal.com profile] grav_ity[livejournal.com profile] grav_ity[livejournal.com profile] grav_ity[livejournal.com profile] grav_ity

Basically, this is two pictures. I edited the crap out of Amy's hair, and added a lens flare, because that's how I roll. The edge shots are the same photo with differences in colour and saturation. Quotation is from Farscape.

Aside from that (and this icon!), nothing else is new.

New Layout!

Thanks to the internet, I now have a shiny new Alice layout!

(It's much less colourful than the old Alice layout, but I think I like it anyway. I might go back, but mostly I'm excited about the SUIT OF ARMOUR.)

Who Icons!

The wonderful (if somewhat misguided :p) [livejournal.com profile] snowflakie did screen caps for Doctor Who, and I have UNSPOILERY ICONS!

. .

. .

I believe I had mentioned previously that my life changed forever with the discovery of the lens flare effect? ;)

13. Crackiest icon:

I do not ship Zuko/Katara. I want that made perfectly clear.

Um...I really don't want to make icons. But the lens flare calls to me!

+++

HEY! Alan Rickman AND Christopher Lee are in Alice and Wonderland. As the Caterpillar and the Jabberwock, no less! *looks forward to this movie*

After almost a week of waiting for screen caps, and then the screen caps being wrong, and then [livejournal.com profile] stephdub made the right ones, and then I...made a header!

I am not sure how I feel about it. I was hoping for the colours to work out a bit better, highlighting the dark and light, but I sepiaed the whole thing and then did copies without the border and...yeah. I am not sure how I feel about it. Please feel free to consider this a poll and tell me which one you like better.

I suppose I should change that "icons" tag to "graphics" instead, eh?

+++

Sometime yesterday, I accidentally shrank the viewing size of my livejournal (just my livejournal, not yours if I view it in your style) using a keyboard shorthand, and I can't undo it. It's driving me CRAZY! NM! I'm an idiot.

You know what I did not need to do tonight? Make text icons for Fringe.

And yet!

. . .

. . .

I did make an effort to include Olivia, but she is way too often the straight answer person of the show.

And yes, the one about Walter's brain is actually from Firefly, but he is crazy, so I think it's okay.

2010 is HERE, my friends. And even though we have not yet been taken over by aliens (or perhaps because!), it is the Extreme Dan/Jan Day! And I am ludicrously excited. ;)

I first saw "2010" at [livejournal.com profile] meg_tdj's house, back when "d" stood for "Daniel", because [livejournal.com profile] pellucid and [livejournal.com profile] mylittleredgirl were there, and they were all shocked I hadn't seen it. I believe I ate gummi bears.

Anyway, it's been six years, or so, since then, and we've all sort of moved on, but tonight we are partying like it's, uh, 2010, and I am having a blast!

Two presents:

Oh, and we're all currently in the chat room Knighting each other. You, my dear friend, have the pleasure of reading the journal of Sir Kate, Rock Knight.

For Bones of all things! Mostly it was just me playing in Photoshop, which is always fun anyway.

This one is for me and is non-snaggable. It looks very nice with my black back ground. (Not that Han and Leia didn't, I was just in the market for something more "me".)

These ones are for public distribution )

So last week we got the second episode/premiere of Glee (as opposed to the pre-air version of the preview, the preview of the pilot or the reair of the pilot). And, while entertaining, it left us wanting more (in the bad way), for the most part.

I have decided that the characters were too stereotypical to truly enjoy, yet not stereotypical enough to be satirical.

And there were several things that made me very uncomfortable. One of which was the part where we're (I think) supposed to cheer for the adultery. Which is NEVER A GOOD THING.

Except that one time. When it sort of was. (There are arguments I could give you, but I am sure you don't want to hear them.)

It is for this occasion, for the first year in a while when there will not be "Without A Trace", and most especially for [livejournal.com profile] eolivet that I present the following:

I completely unrelated news, I rewatched "Rising" tonight, and may have teared up a little as the City came out of the water.
