Hmm. I wonder why that is? Because usually I'm a big fan of people having things betaed and all that.
At least in this case I think it's probably largely that I've never been interested in HP fic, have always been a little scared of HP fandom, but then when it's right there on the flist from a trusted source I thought I'd give it a try. And then it really touched on one of the main things that I would have wanted to read fic about, were I to read fic, and not only that, did it well. So it was just so much serendipity!
