Aw, this is sweet! The thought of baby Sam playing with a rattle made of a dried potatoe and crawling into the mud and getting filthy makes me laugh; but there's an overall wistfulness to this. I love that you ended by having Sam give the little tools to his son. Hope you had a merry Christmas!
