I have all these thoughts about who identifies as an abnormal, mostly cribbed from penknife and artaxastra, and I think I think Kate does too, at least to herself. When they rejected her, I felt SO BAD for her, because this is her world, and watching her get shut out of it was WEIRD for me.
Conversely, I think that Henry has only just recently started identifying himself as abnormal. And Will doesn't at all, even when he's turning into one.
But yes: Kate definitely thinks of Helen as an abnormal. Declan might too, actually. He certainly doesn't think of them as human, anyway.
