Billed as "brown-girl-from-Brooklyn does Alice In Wonderland", Labyrinth Lost is straight up one of the best books about witches/magic/family/identity I have ever read. Córdova wanted "Charmed, with Latinx brujas", and, man, did she nail it. The characters were awesome, the sister-ing was awesome, the family-ing was awesome, and the magic knocked my socks off, before we got to the portal fantasy part.
Basically it was just really excellent.
And also: girls kissing. So really.
