New Books

NEW BOOOOOOOKS!

I mentioned a couple of these in my older Waiting On Wednesday posts, but I'm mentioning them again because, well, because it's a CONTEST and I like winning things. And also because they books are good and I think some of you will like them. :)

Natalie Parker is running a giveaway contest for the AMAZING new trade copy of Tessa Gratton's BLOOD MAGIC and her brand new companion novel BLOOD KEEPER. Both feature magic and blood and romance (and, in at least once case, creative use of tupperware). Also, they are both VERY PRETTY.

Also, there is THE CURIOSITIES, which is a collection of short stories written (and annotated!) by Tessa Gratton, Maggie Stiefvater and Brenna Yovanoff. I got to read the ARC of this and, can I just say, AWESOME with a side of AWESOME and then covered with AWESOMESAUCE.

Book # 50: The Raven Boys, by Maggie Stiefvater

Every now and then, there is a book that is beautiful. A book that is masterful. A book that is everything you have ever wanted in your ENTIRE LIFE. A book that makes you laugh and cry and gasp in shock. A book whose every word is placed with such precision, it seems to look right into your soul.

And if you are very, very lucky, that book will be part one of a quartet, spaced out to taunt you by being published in 2012-15.

You can say things like "masterful" or "a tour de force" or "her best one yet". Or you can just say "September 18, 2012. Put it on your calendar."

10/10, even though it's the first in a series, and I'm not telling you anything else until I'm holding my own copy in my hands.
