Legend of the Seeker: Identity

grav_ityI think the reason I love this show so much is that it is PERFECT. And I don't meant perfect writing or perfect acting (although it's pretty close to perfect music). I mean it's a perfect story. It's like they've got the Checklist of Archetype, and they are just going through it.
This episode allowed us to build upon that Allies For Later category (while also giving us some new enemies, which was nice), and this time, used it to have Kahlan tell us things she can't tell Richard yet, because Richard is too much of a moron to understand. That's what Identity episodes are for.
I continue to compare this to Avatar, because they really are quite similar. Sir Perceval (the Dumb) is going around and finding pieces, so that later he can put them together. It's fun and easy and I like it, because it's how stories are told. The main difference is that Avatar was about someone who actually is a 12-year-old, and LotS is about someone who acts like he's a 12-year-old. Still, fun times.
And the ending was perfect, really. Because even if she's lying, it still means Richard will never look at Kahlan the same way again, which might actually SAVE him, because then he probably won't have sex with her. Except he's 12, so he totally will. But it's not like white's an uncommon colour. Richard might make other friends. Anything could happen.
