Fic Rec: A Fairer House Than Prose, by pellucid

pellucid has finally posted her much hinted at Laura/Irina Alias fic, and it is simply marvelous.

The fic deals primarily with Irina's sense of identity, as Laura, as Irina, as a professor, as a KGB operative, and all the things in between. And since pellucid knows what she's talking about (well, at least with the English Prof parts), the sense of realism behind the words is just stunning.

This story is Irina Derevko as she could have been.

I know nothing about Alias, but I adore pellucid's writing. It's almost worth watching the show just to be able to understand her story.
