Book #98: MIGHTY THOR vol 1 Thunder in Her Veins

ARGH, renumbered comics are so bizarre. Also, they had to rehash the backstory a lot? Maybe that's normal? I don't know.

Anyway, I continue to really like this series. It's super on the nose and I don't care. I really, really love how both Thor AND Jane are important people with important work to do, that cannot be done by the other.

I remain, to the surprise of no one, entirely lukewarm on Loki.

But I'm interested in seeing where it goes!

The whole purpose of a new #1 to the comic industry is so new readers won't feel intimidated by trying to start with #141 or something. Then, since they're after new readers, they recap everything the newbie needs to know...often changing back story to suit this author's particular needs.

Oh, yes, that makes total sense and I 100% get it, but they were only on Volume 2 of these! :)

Marvel has kept going back to #1 a lot in recent years. While I understand the idea of attracting newbies, lately they've been renumbering almost every year, which is silly. They used to add .1 to some issues to signal them as good starting point, which I thought was neat because it served both newbies and long-time readers.
