I have 135 works archived at AO3. Pick a number from 1 (the most recent) to 135 (the oldest and most venerable), and I'll tell you three things I currently like about it.
Father of the Heart (http://archiveofourown.org/works/626234), LotR
There is nothing about this fic that I do not love.
1. OLD ENGLISH, FOR THE WIN! 2. Seriously, though. WHAT IS NOT TO LOVE. 3. I swear, I meant to do a better job than this. You just happened to pick something I adore. :)
Better Todays (http://archiveofourown.org/works/747247), a Hobbit fic.
1. I like that I finished this one. It took me FOREVER to get Dwalin's voice, and then it took me forever to make him shut up and get to the kissing. As you do. :)
2. I really like that Ori decided to not be a pushover. He was fun to write.
3. He can wait. He didn’t think Ori would ever be easy around him, though the blow job in the kitchen went a good way towards settling them both -- It just makes me laugh. :)
Communication (http://archiveofourown.org/works/174112), Sanctuary.
1. Helen and James. They really need to talk about their feelings. They do not. 2. This cleared the way for "Lines in the Sand", which is still one of my best, I think. 3. More and more often, Helen finds herself wishing that James would use the telephone so that they could just talk.
1. Fred would totally do this, I think. Because: breakfast. 2. I love using rooms in the Hyperion, even if they are rooms we never actually saw. 3. As the syrup drizzled from the bottle to her plate and she amused herself by writing mathematical symbols in maple, Fred smiled. Obviously. :)
The Other Side of Midnight (http://archiveofourown.org/works/208880), Sanctuary.
AHAHA, this is the one with the Ghost Dog.
1. I love putting words to James' feelings about not being Ashley's father. 2. Baby!Ashley is ADORABLE. Because of course there is a monster in her closet, and also she miiiiiight be opening the door to let that sort of thing in. 3. There's always that fear that John will show up. Poor James.
A Change in the Weather (http://archiveofourown.org/works/260426), Sanctuary. (Did you pick the Het Big Bang on purpose? Because otherwise: hee!)
1. I really like how Patton turned out. I was nervous about writing him, but he ended up being a lot of fun. 2. I love the Cornish Pixies, and the fact that they leave salt trails, and the fact that they kiss the glass for luck. No reason. 3. The 2nd person POVs still work for me. ;)
The problem with asking my f-list questions like this is that I always get multiple 42s. It's up a couple comments, if you wanted to pick another number.

This is getting me to read things I would never have seen before, and that is lots of fun.
