Book #26: The Mermaid's Madness, by Jim C. Hines (
jimhines)
Girls Who Rock, fairy tell retelling, magic, fairies of the unpleasant variety, magic, true love, etc.
I actually read this book more than a week ago and then, you know, moved half my stuff to another town and returned all of my library books. I've since added the author to my f-list, I figure I should be nice and get caught up. ;)
Everything that made the first book awesome and was awesomer in this book. With mermaids, for crying out loud. Snow and Talia got more character stuff and Queen Bea became ever more awesome, which I didn't think was possible. And Danielle! Oh, Danielle! Married and a mother, learning to swim and steer a boat, sword fighting, magic working, asskicking, diplomatic..iking. *hearts her* And Armand cheers her on (without being emasculated).
8 out of 10. Seriously, go read it. And I hope I can get a library card in Waterloo ASAP so that I can read Red Hood's Revenge!

I did, however, buy all 4 books in this series for my Kindle, so now I just need to read the darn things. I was going to do it before now, but
Now that I'm done with those, though, I think it might finally be time to start reading Stepsister Act. :)

edited because people's names are important, and you should spell them properly.
