A Meme!

The "Ask Me About My Writing" meme! As seen just about everywhere on my flist.

Just ask me general questions because I don't know how I would answer the suggested ones. :P

I know it's been awhile since you wrote in the LOTR fandom, but I was re-reading this lovely story recently:

It's still so lovely. :)

Do you prefer writing dialogue or description? Does the end of a chapter or story ever take you by surprise?

I knew it was going to be "Gardener Born" before I even clicked on it. ;)

UM, dialogue. I mean, I don't dislike description, but it was definitely something I had to LEARN to do, whereas dialogue (in character dialogue, if I may be so bold) came naturally to me.

And yes. All the time. Well, sort of. I mean, when I sit down to write something, I usually know the first and last line (this is true of 500 word fics and of my book (AAAAAAAH, MY BOOK)), but sometimes the way I get there is a word journey. That's what makes it fun! I'm a pantser (pro-term for "does not plan"), as opposed to an outliner, so I suppose this makes sense. :)
