I've sung this one, and the story behind it made me cry. I think it's amazing that the story of Christ can be accessible to all people. I also love the Jesuits and their history, because they were one of the only religious groups who believed that Christianity and cultural traditions could walk hand in hand (which is why so many of them were martyred). If only other religious (and even secular) groups of the time were as broad-minded as the minority group of Jesuits who did work like this.
